Target Audience: This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of Physicians, Neonatologists, Pediatricians, GPs, IBCLCs, Nurse practitioners, Registered Nurses, Midwives, Registered dietitians, CLCs, Peer supporters, Doulas, and Childbirth educators.

Conference Objectives: At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss recent research and initiatives contributing to parents’ success in achieving their breastfeeding goals.
  2. Outline strategies assisting parents to overcome specific challenges and concerns relating to infant feeding.
  3. Describe the importance of culturally specific and appropriate factors in facilitating equity of access to breastfeeding support.
  4. Recognise the importance of counselling skills in the role of the lactation professional.
  5. Identify new initiatives in the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence as tools for education and research in lactation.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association and iLactation.
